Kids Day Speech

“If a child is given love, he becomes loving ... If he's helped when he needs help, he becomes helpful. And if he has been truly valued ... he grows up secure enough to look beyond himself to the welfare of others.”

Honourable chief Guest, Reverend Manager, Respected Principal, Loving teachers and non teaching staff, Dear Parents and friends

I am here before you to speak a few words about “Kids Day”.

Let me first thank our dear principal to have given us our own special day, and my class teacher who gave me an opportunity to speak on this occasion in front of you all.

No matter, how many school days or play times we have, there is one day, which we feel recognized by the whole world, and that is for The Annual Day.

Though the kindergarten section gets to perform, they get immersed in the maze of higher class performance. We all know the kindergarten section is a non entity with respect to a school as big as this one.

But in my School, we kindergartians have been privileged to be acknowledged as individuals of value. And to bring out the very best, in one and all of us,   our Principal has introduced our own Annual Day Celebration , Our Own Perfect Moment– The Kids Day.

Its a risky business, as well as expensive, along with extra hard work for our teachers, but our management had the courage to be innovative.

Today, is the day, where we, all my friends and myself are exposed to come out of the cocoon of safety and face the glaring world from a podium with our own small courage, reaping the hard work of our teachers with the background support of the management and our parents.

Frankly, its not easy to excel, but the faith invested in us is what brings us this confidence. This in turn prepares us for the ground work to become a good citizen, imbibing the values of discipline, sense of orderliness, humanity and above all respect and obedience  to parents, teachers and to our society. That is what we are here for.

With all due respect to one and all for giving us this opportunity, I conclude.

Thank you.

Have a Great Day

Meena
