Who Are You?

I am living in a place where history is everywhere, in the buildings, the trees, the seas, the backwaters, etc...

You know history is made by the people, the people who lived here, live here. That means, you and I are making history for the future generation.

The past generations had given us something to say about, the buildings, the trees, the trades, the ......., etc...etc....

Now if we fast forward it to a hundred years ahead, what might have we given to the future generation?

I hope you understand what I mean, we are making changes everywhere advancing everything, which are now backfiring against us. Do you know why this happens?

It is simple, we are proud of our knowledge, education and our capability. You know, that is a big blunder we are doing. There was a time when the people had not had all this know how, but still they built the pyramids, the great china wall, the greatest cave paintings, the greatest drainage systems, water systems, townships, which we are currently trying to copy them and all these things they did it from nature and not by changing the basic structure of atoms. Now we have been so smart that we know how to juggle with all the resources we are being provided and the result, destruction and barrenness. So where did we go wrong?

The wrongness happened within our own self. Just go inside you and there will be the answer and that is the right answer. The answer which will be in harmony of this universe. No education or no money or know intelligence can help us in being in harmony with nature. Look at the birds, they soar in the sky and dive down happily. If they feel hungry, they get food from somewhere or the other. Look at the animals, they too are not in search of food always. They eat their fill and leave it for others to have. Look at the ants, they store food for not one single ant but for all the ants of the colony. That is what we call harmony. To be happy of our existence. To be at peace with our being. So I request all to go into you and find Who Are You. Take the risk, it is worth it.

As per human calculation we will be going to the next year by midnight today. So I wish all guys,

"A Happy & Prosperous New Year. May God Bless You With Love, Peace & Abundance."

See you tomorrow. Until then, take care, Bye.

The New Resolution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As the eyes of 2013 are drooping for a long sleep, the atmosphere here is that of expectation.

You know, after the sleep you would be having a brand new day, new year and new hopes. But there is one funny part, how do we know the difference from the old year and the new year, in fact, what about months. Do you know the difference? I really do not know. So for me, I would say, there doesn't make any sense in putting expectation or planning a new beginning for a specific date or a day because all days have a morning, afternoon, evening and night. The attitude we have is what makes the difference.

So what do you think? Are you planning to make a resolution for new year or for now? Think about it. I will think about it for sure.

See you tomorrow. Until then, take care. Bye.

A Happy Ending!!!!!!!!!!

As my year comes to an end, I have always thought, what all achievements would I have to boast of before I step into this new year - 2014. So I started replaying my life and I have nothing great to boast of.

Its simply zero. Can you believe it. I just can say, I lived in the moment.

When someone smiled I smiled back.

When help is requested I tried to give it

When in sadness, just to give a shoulder to cry on, etc....etc...

So now you know, its not a very big deal of a life I had.

But one surprise, I wanted to fulfill a resolution, to write everyday, my blog for a year and until now, yes, it was made possible and I do not know the rest, but I hope to fulfill it.

But anyway I am happy for whatever bargain I got from life. It was not a very easy one to carry on. But the invisible guiding hand was there to guide me through all life's turning points both good and bad.

The only thing I learned from this life is, no matter whatever the situations you are in, just have faith that all will end perfectly. A Happy Ending!!!!!!!!!!!!.

See you tomorrow.

Until then, take care. Bye

Law of Attraction

I just happened to read the law of attraction from a site. Please check out.

Every living thing has a unique energy signature, a vibration. As humans, our vibration changes by what we focus on. When you look at a beautiful sunset or watch a puppy playing, your vibrations will soften. If you pay attention, you will feel a quality of openness and love.

Conversely, if you check in with yourself while watching the 5 o’clock news or a political debate, you’ll probably notice that your vibrations will shift into a state of contraction, actually pulling away from the quality of love. In other words, you will feel negative feelings.

Likewise, our vibrations change by the thoughts that we keep our attention on, especially by the thoughts that hold our dominant attention. If your mind is predominantly filled with lack or resistance, you will feel a negative energy pervade your being. On the other hand, if you train yourself to focus on positive thoughts, you will feel yourself aligning with love and wellbeing.

We are always vibrating something. Therefore we are always creating something, by drawing to us whatever is in sync with the thoughts we think and where we keep our attention.

Let’s say half the time you train yourself to consciously focus attention on finding a new fulfilling job. You can envision it and feel how wonderful it would be to be doing something that makes your heart sing, and you can feel the wonderful feeling of being paid well. Yeah!

Then, let’s say that the other half of the time you’re saying to yourself, “When am I going to get a good job? I’m tired of not having enough money to do what I want. I’m tired of working jobs I don’t like!”

See what’s happening here? It’s like taking one step forward then one step back. One step forward and one step back. Your positive thoughts and feelings begin attracting new possibilities and circumstances. They begin making their way to you. Then when you listen to the resistant thoughts, and feel the feelings of lack, your vibrations change. You are now in sync with the lack rather than the fulfillment of what you want, and you draw to yourself circumstances that sabotage the new possibilities.

Awareness Is the Key

To gradually train your vibration into a more positive one, notice when your optimism begins to fade. Pay attention to your thoughts when this happens and you will find that you’re feeding a thought stream of resistance. The way I see it is there is really only one stream of life, vitality and love. Then, on the other hand, there is resistance to that one stream. We’re either going with the flow that is always available to take us deeper into the love and truth of who we are, or we’re keeping our attention on the resistance to that, and therefore blocking our own vitality, our own life force, and the fulfillment of everything our heart really wants.

Emotional Feedback Guide

We are all equipped with an unbelievably accurate guidance system. It will never, ever let us down.

This guidance system is our emotions. At the core, there are really only two emotions: a positive one or a negative one. If we’re feeling negative emotions, we’re focusing on resistance. If we’re feeling positive feelings, we’re in alignment with our innate flow of wellbeing.

Using this guidance system, we can “course correct” and deliberately shift our attention to a thought that feels better, then after that to one that feels even better, and so on.

The Circumstances of Our Lives
Are Always a Vibrational Match to Our Own Energy

Always. If we miss the cues of our Emotional Feedback Guide, we can always take a look around at the content of our daily lives to see what we’re creating. This will show us, quite graphically, what we dominantly focus on. If our lives are filled with conflict, lack, or negativity, we can learn from that and practice training ourselves to shift attention to better feeling thoughts.

Savor the Good Stuff!

I’ve discovered another really fun way to work with the Law of Attraction that really helps with wellbeing. Whenever I have a particularly wonderful experience – in meditation, spending time with a friend, dancing, going for a great run – I savor it afterwards. I indulge in thoughts and memories about it for as long and as often as I can, milking it for all the good feelings that it evokes.

While doing this, the Law of Attraction insures that I attract more wonderful experiences of a similar nature!

How the Law of Attraction Gets Misinterpreted

I’ve noticed that sometimes the Law of Attraction gets billed as the “be all, end all” path to spiritual enlightenment. When I began learning more about it over a year ago, I was so delighted to find the missing piece – how to live happily on this physical plane – that I turned away from some other very important aspects of myself, which I’ll get to in a moment.

It was such a relief to see that I could consciously participate in the creation of the quality of my life, and it was quite exhilarating. By purposely training my thoughts into a positive direction, I noticed old thoughts and limiting beliefs about money and self worth began to unwind and let go. I began to feel a new feeling of personal power that I never felt before.

After awhile, however, I saw that my understanding of the Law of Attraction wasn’t the whole picture of my life, though it is an important aspect of it. I saw that working with it needed to be balanced by awareness of some other key aspects, which I’ll cover now.

The Strength of Vulnerability

While my life had improved considerably after working with the Law of Attraction, I still kept running into some of the same fears and stumbling blocks inside. I’d consciously shift attention to a more positive scenario, yet somehow it felt like “grime” was building up in my internal “house.” I felt like a part of me was being neglected in an unhealthy way.

In meditation one morning I realized that I had not been allowing vulnerability. I had been trying to suppress it. With the realization came a softening that happened automatically. I let my guard, my personal defenses down. Suddenly I realized that that is how we release old baggage – residues of physical, emotional, mental, psychological, and spiritual trauma from the past.

We can release our past traumas with unguarded vulnerability. This is true vulnerability. When we let down our personal self-protective “guard” there is a natural healing process that occurs. Anything that isn’t love begins to leave us, naturally and gently. In the meditation I allowed this feeling of unprotected vulnerability and felt a sweet softening and opening. What I discovered is that this so-called vulnerability, which is actually surrender, is a doorway into love and true strength.

Inner House Cleaning

I realized that before I could move forward with my life I needed to let go of some old baggage. I could feel and see dark shadows that were residues from past hurts that were affecting me on the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual levels.

Both as part of my training in energy healing and for my own personal healing, I worked with a medical intuitive. She showed me how to clear these out of my whole energetic system, which of course includes the physical body. I sat in a chair and closed my eyes, while forming the intention to release the negative energy I carried about my mother, to start with.

In forming that intention, I could feel tight places around my heart area. First I brought love to the places of constriction. Then, with my physical hand and my inner vision I reached inside and pulled the negative energy out by the root. I visualized a field of white light all around me so that as I pulled the strands of dark energy out they were burned up in the light. As I did that, I could actually feel the energies leaving my body, which jerked in response.

I repeated this exercise on several subjects: family illnesses, limiting beliefs about relationships and money, fear, self-judgment, and other negative “shadows” that were creating havoc in my life. At the end of the session I visualized a stream of golden light and love that poured down through the top of my head, filling up the spaces where the old energies had been removed.

Afterwards I felt clear and radiant! I continue to do this cleansing practice every day. For me, combining these two things (allowing vulnerability and daily inner cleansing), gives balance to the practice of reaching for a better feeling thought.

I realized that if I am holding onto negative energetic baggage from the past, even unconsciously, then that vibration within me will attract more of the same. Yuck! It is extremely important to clear this stuff out in order to experience the wellbeing we are after.

Teachings About the Law of Attraction

Many have criticized those who teach about the Law of Attraction, saying that it encourages superficiality, desire and greed. My experience is that anything that brings me into alignment with joy, brings me into alignment with Light, Love, the Universe, whatever you wish to call our Spiritual Source.

This law is impersonal. It is simply a force, like gravity. If you drop something it will fall. It doesn’t matter what it is. There is no discrimination on what is being dropped. The force of gravity will pull it down. Period. Likewise, the Law of Attraction brings to us whatever we focus on, be it positive or negative.

Fortunately, we’ve all been given an amazing Emotional Feedback Guide. This is not only a guide that can keep you in the stream of manifesting positive things in your life, it also keeps you in the stream of love and goodwill. If someone focuses on accessing the Law of Attraction for negative purposes, eventually they’ll notice they’re feeling quite negative as a result. That automatically creates a feedback system and self-teaching process. No one likes to feel sustained negativity and eventually we learn to stop doing whatever it is that is creating it! As long as you follow this inner compass, it will keep you on course. As you begin to follow this guide of yours, you'll be much less willing to feel crummy, especially now that you know you have a choice!

Trust Yourself

All of these areas we’re speaking of here are doorways that can take you deeper into the love and truth of yourself: working with the Law of Attraction, exploring your own vulnerability and openness, and cleansing yourself of old energies. All of these tools can work together and complement and balance each other.

Each of us is on our own unique path. Different things are right for each of us at different times. You are the one that will know what is best for you by how you feel inside when you’re doing it.

As you become more aware of the Law of Attraction, you'll become conscious that your energy is always creating something, either positive or negative. Then, by making deliberate choices about that, your life will change into a much more joyful state. You will no longer feel like a victim of outside forces. Balancing this knowledge with inner cleansing and vulnerability can totally transform your life!

Until then, take care, bye.

Everything happens for a reason

I have a tendency to give a message to my guest in a small paper or by a small card after they take a tour. Its my writer's tendency I feel. And I usually do not ask what message they received. So yesterday, one guest read her message and said, "Oh!!! it's a good message, I should really keep this in mind always and folded and kept it in her bag. Then we continued talking. In between the conversation, she said, "you should really practice the message you are giving to everybody because you are talking just opposite what you are writing."
I was surprised because I didn't know what her message was and to be frank, I felt ashamed too. You know, even if I write great dialogues sometimes I return back to my basic nature at some point or other where fear, indecisiveness, laziness, anger, sadness, etc... do take a place in our life. Anyway she read the message she got, " Everything happens for a reason." I smiled and said, "Sure I will do that."

I do not know whether you would believe it. But, after some hours, I was in a problem and so much problem, that I was thinking, it was so weird that I couldn't even close my gaping mouth, that much was the shock I had. Really, it was very shocking. I was a bit sad it happened and in the evening, while I was praying, this message came up " Everything happens for a reason." and I felt like laughing because the things happening were simply cinematic and this message really relieved me from the sadness I was feeling.

What is going to happen, has already been known well in advance and it was forewarned through a simple message to me and when I realized that it was easy to cope. So just be united with your self and you will get to know what will happen well in advance and can be prepared for that easily. Not only that, believe that nothing is accidental, its preplanned and just go through with that feeling peacefully and no dramas please. Don't put reason for all the problems that come your way because whatever happened is for a bigger good. So be peaceful.

So I hope be present with your self.

See you tomorrow.

Until then, take care. Bye

So Boring Work

When we are doing a work which we feel boring, we would naturally feel sleepy. But at that very moment, if we get something to do which we really love to do,then we all know that we could never close a wink. But why do we differentiate work? Now if we are denied to do what we love to do, then what will be our response?

Well the answer to the last question is predictable :- Nooooooooooooo Don't do that to me. Isn't it not?

You know, years back I had this same predicament. I was denied what I really loved to do. To become a doctor. It was my very existence, my dream and one fine day, my family felt and said "this profession doesn't suit a lady, especially an Indian lady, who would eventually marry and bear kids, your work would hinder the smooth running of your family. So its better to have only a basic education, just enough knowledge to help children in studies. So I feel you should stop studies and think of marriage." I was then just 17 years old. Thus my passion was shattered to pieces. I really did say, please don't say that. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaase. But it went to deaf ears.

You know immediately after that my father passed away and my education continued. But not what I liked. I tried many things, which I tried to put some heart and feeling in it. But in the end, I just dose off because I felt boring. So I want you guys to remember, no matter what the work, all works are unique and can be done in any innovative way because the person who does it loves it or else, it would be a drag and I say a life with a "BIG DRAG" .

So now you know, why this boring response to some work. If your work is boring then its time to rethink your priorities guys. Regarding my job.... I have been prioritizing and reprioritizing till this very day and the last niche I have reached is writing. So I hope you too find a small nook for yourself.

See you tomorrow.

Until then, take care. Bye.

Advantages of Sugar

Today, my sister in law spoke, that one of her friends were speaking of the bad effects of sugar creating heart disease, diabetic, etc.... But for me, sugar is an integral part of my life because I have a sweet tooth. And one more miracle happened to me with sugar.

My waistline was a bit extended, well, not bit but far more than to my liking and I was trying to reduce it. So I tried yoga, walking, etc... But was of no use. I was still the same an a little more fat. It was during that time, I got a room mate, who was a Korean. She was also a Korean doctor. I came to know about it, when I saw her with all the needles stuck on her toes and fingers. So I asked her, which is the easiest disease to treat in her system of medicine. She replied, obesity and diabetic. I just couldn't believe my luck. So I immediately asked, "Can you treat me for obesity?" She said, "No problem just drink sugar syrup or jaggery syrup mixed with water for four times a day 15mts before food. My eyes widened.

"Are you sure? Don't you think that its lot of sugar?" She smiled and said, "this is the same treatment we give for the diabetic patient too."

Well I thought I will just give a try and I really did try and "Lo Behold I just became slim. It was simply superb because my excess fat in my tummy just passed away within a week.

But there are several conditions to follow when you have the sugar syrup

First no vitamin tablets intake
No chicken or chicken products and milk. Then try this.

You I forgot to add, you would be far more beautiful and you would not need make up too. Do you know what that means? Yippeeee...

2. New research shows folk medicine from Africa may hold the key to treating wounds that defy modern medicine.
A study found granulated sugar poured directly into bed sores, leg ulcers and even amputations promotes healing when antibiotics and other treatments have failed.

So I am not going to judge that the root cause of many diseases is sugar but something else along with sugar can create a problem. And what is that, I don't know. But I give an opportunity to you guys to find out. So.....

See you tomorrow.

Until then, take care and bye.

Beauty Tips

Today I accidentally saw an advertisement of a big gathering of the great beautifying people. The advertisement was like this, "For everyone wanting to meet the stars of the hair and beauty sector, the mega event of the year." You know, when I read this, I knew, there would be an interest in every heart. But why do we have so much flutter when we hear about beauty?

Simple, we feel that we would be accepted only if we have beauty. But in fact, I would like to ask one question. What is your criteria about selecting your friends? Or I will rephrase the question. How many friends do you have who are really beautiful?

The answer would be either two, one or none. What does that mean. We are simply wasting our time, making ourselves beautiful. We all look for a person who is kind, smiling, easy to talk to, etc...etc... isn't it?

So my advice is be beautiful at heart. Then you would be more popular than the most beautiful world in the Universe. Did I exaggerate? No, not at all. Its a fact babe. Its the truth dude. The Law of Prosperity

Prosperity is the result of putting the law of seed time and harvest to work for you. Gal 6:7,9

1) What do you really want?
Be specific in your petitions to the universe. Don’t keep affirming that you want a generous income and fulfilling work, without clarifying exactly how much you wanted to earn, and in what form you wanted the work to arrive. That’s like walking into a restaurant and telling the waitress, “you want food.” What kind of food? How much food? Hot or cold? Would you like a beverage also? What condiments would you prefer with your meal?
Many of us are vague in our desires. We know the general result we’d like (an end to financial difficulties, a better job, etc.) but there are many more facets to consider.
First things first – we need to have a pathway for the prosperity to enter our lives, it might be business management, or hair styling, or baking or writing. It is possible to earn great money doing something other than what you truly love, but too many of us make the mistake of settling for something less and we never reach the true fulfillment we yearn for. We say to the waitress, “I’d really love a steak, but that’s not possible, so you’ll have a tuna sandwich.” The waitress may raise an eyebrow and wonder why we think a steak isn’t possible, but she won’t try to talk us into ordering one. She’ll just bring us a tuna sandwich. It’s her job to serve us by bringing what we ask for.
The universe works in the same way. You may dream of being an artist, an actor, or a doctor, but you don’t think you have the ability or talent for it, so you pursue a field that seems more possible for you. But by doing this, you are turning away from your dream. If you have a deep desire to do something specific with your life, you will be given the tools and resources to make it happen. But first you have to believe it’s possible. Even if you can’t imagine how it could be possible right now, Be Willing To Suspend Your Disbelief.
So the first big step to take is to get really clear on what you want, and ask for it. Don’t be vague. Don’t ask for something less just because you don’t think your true dream is possible. Ask for EXACTLY what you want. You can do this aloud, or write it down on a sheet of paper. Or both. But you need to “place your order” with the universe. Be very specific in the things you say. For example: “What you really want is to be a successful sculptor, creating work that is fulfilling and meaningful to me, and you want to work no more than 20 hours per week, and earn at least Rs. 2000000 per year.”
A special note about the amount of money you ask for: You may be thinking that asking for a massive amount of money (like millions) is better than asking for a modest amount of money. I advise against doing that, at least in the beginning. If you really do have blockages that are preventing you from creating what you truly want in life, you will find ways to hold yourself back from it, if your dream makes you the least bit uncomfortable. For most of us, the thought of actually manifesting millions of rupees in our lives seems too impossible.
Instead, try setting your sights a little bit lower at the outset. I suggest you ask for less than you truly need or desire, but I also don’t want you to bite off more than you can chew and sabotage your efforts in the process! Remember, if you are able to manifest a reasonable amount of abundance right now, you will gain confidence and be able to focus your efforts on greater abundance later.

2) Be willing to sacrifice for your greater good.
The human mind is still a great mystery, especially the subconscious mind. It is very possible that you had some blockages that just wouldn’t allow you to move forward until you have processed them in some way; purged them from your system, so to speak. Just like our outer circumstances can affect our health, so can our inner beliefs affect our physical reality.
The point is that sometimes we do need to sacrifice what may no longer be serving us, in order to gain circumstances that do serve us and more closely resemble our dream. Take a few moments to think about things that may no longer be serving you, and ask yourself if you are willing to release them. As you described last week, this can be any number of things: stagnant relationships, too much idle time, or not enough discipline. Or perhaps your “sacrifice” is simply to take a chance on something you want, rather than holding yourself back out of fear. We’ll go more into that in a moment…

3) Affirmations and intentions.
Now that you have a clear idea of what you want and you know what you’re willing to sacrifice, it’s time to begin stating your intentions to the universe, in the form of affirmations. Affirmations are positive statements spoken aloud (or at least mentally, though verbally seem to give stronger energy). Basically you are taking the “YOU WANT” statement from above, and turning into an “YOU HAVE” affirmation. In other words, state aloud that you already have what you desire. Using the same example, you’d say, “I AM a successful writer creating fulfilling and meaningful work. you work no more than 25 hours per week, and you earn Rs. 2000000 per year.” No, of course your mind isn’t going to believe this right away, because it hasn’t happened yet. But by saying it aloud repeatedly, you are training your mind to believe it’s possible, and attracting the right energy to make it happen.
You might also include some generic affirmations because they help reinforce what you’re trying to accomplish. Here are some that have helped me: I am wealthy. I am blessed. I attract abundance and wealth. I deserve abundance and prosperity. I can achieve anything I desire. Anything is possible. Say these aloud several times a day. Write them in a journal, over and over. Write them on a sheet of paper and post it up where you will see it during your day, and say these phrases out loud as often as you can.

4) Practice consistency.
Here is where we all go wrong. We are all really good at saying our affirmations for a day or two, but then you’d slip back into whining and complaining voice, and undo all the progress you’d made! In order for affirmations and intentions to really work, we need to keep working them. We need to retrain our minds to think positively, rather than negatively. The only way to do that is by repetition. Say your affirmations as many times as you need to. Positive thinking is just like anything else, practice makes perfect. The only reason you feel stuck in negative thinking patterns now is because you (or your surroundings) have reinforced them for so long. You can change it though, moment to moment.

5) Active faith.
When you put a seed in the ground it takes time before you can see any evidence of it because the seed needs to germinate. Seeds germinate in their own time. Some take longer than others. You don't dig up the seed to see how it's doing. But instead you water it and wait with expectancy for the seed to show itself.Faith is a challenging concept when things around us seem so dark. How can we believe that things will get better when we have no assurance that they will? But that is the very definition of faith! To believe in something you cannot see.
How can we create positive change when we have so much working against us? By using what you call “active” faith. This means affirming that things will be okay, even if you don’t know for sure that they will. Ironically, it often requires you to state the exact opposite of what you truly believe.
Let’s use an example: You have been struggling financially and you are trying your hardest to create more abundance and prosperity. Then one day your electric bill arrives in the mail, and you see that it is much higher than you expected it to be, and you don’t have the funds to pay it. Your first reaction would be to cry, scream or sink into depression and wonder if you’ll ever be able to create better circumstances.
But practicing active faith would instead have you look at that electric bill and then say aloud with passion and power in your voice, “you don’t know how yet, but you will acquire the funds to pay this bill on time. You affirm it, and you intend it to be so. God (or universe), you will help me to find a way to make this happen. Thank you!” And then allow yourself to feel thankful that a solution is on the way. Don’t fret about it, don’t let yourself get tense or anxious.
This takes a tremendous leap of faith. This technique works whenever used. The problem is that we keep forgetting to use it. Give this technique a try, even if it’s on smaller things first. Keep practicing this type of mindset, choosing to believe that success and abundance is right around the corner for you, even if you can’t see any possible way for it to happen yet.

6) Be willing to try and accept.
How often do you hold yourself back from trying something because you don’t believe it would do any good? Most of us block ourselves from success before we can even get started! Perhaps we don’t have faith in our own abilities, or we feel we’re not talented enough, or experienced enough, or deserving enough. If we don’t believe we have what it takes, and if we don’t believe we deserve to achieve our dreams, then we definitely won’t do it.
Imagine standing outside a restaurant and saying to yourself, “I’m hungry, but I feel they wouldn’t serve me anyway, so there’s no point going in.” It sounds laughable, but yet we are doing the same thing to ourselves if we refuse to even try. So in addition to changing your thoughts, be willing to take action! Apply for a job, sign up for a class, do something to make a move toward your dream. Even a small step will begin to open doors for you.
When your prosperity arrives, embrace it with joy, even if it arrives in a form you weren’t expecting. Keep affirming aloud each day, “Accept the blessings the universe holds for you now.”

7) Patience, timing and acceptance.
Believe that, timing has a lot to do with the achievement of our dreams and goals. There are many factors we can’t control, and timing is one of them. If we’ve reached the point where we’ve done all we can possibly do, then the wait can be maddening. But rather than sinking into frustration and despair, we can keep practicing active faith and affirmations, which continues to lend positive energy to our vision.
Keep repeating to yourself, “you know this is going to happen for me, you just know it will. And it will happen soon.” Keep infusing your energy into your dream to give it power to manifest.
And lastly, work on accepting your current circumstances. Acceptance does not mean you choose to remain where you are forever. It simply means that where you currently are and is exactly where you need to be in this moment. It’s a tough pill to swallow if you are in an unhappy circumstances. But be willing to believe that there may be a reason for it. Perhaps you are there to learn patience, or humility, or to be strengthened by your struggles. Accept these lessons with grace, while affirming that they will not last forever.

Those who maintain prosperous attitudes, even in states of poverty, are foreign to such states and will not be allowed to remain out of place in those poverty situations, but will instead be deported to those prosperous states where such prosperous attitudes belong.

See You Tomorrow.

Until then, take care. Bye.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory disease which can affect the skin, joints and nails. The causes of psoriasis are not fully understood and are the subject of ongoing research. In psoriasis, the immune system is mistakenly activated, which leads to overproduction of skin cells. Skin cells build up too rapidly on the surface of the skin, forming raised, red, scaly patches (called plaques). These plaques are often itchy and sometimes painful. Psoriasis lesions commonly appear on the scalp, limbs and lower back, but they can occur anywhere on the body.
Some people are not very affected by their psoriasis symptoms, but for others, psoriasis is a disabling and embarrassing condition that affects their lifestyle and their interactions with others. There are many available treatments that may help to relieve symptoms and improve daily life.

IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT PSORIASIS
1. Psoriasis is not contagious.
2. Sufferers develop psoriasis between the ages of 15-20 years or later between 50-60 years. Around 75% of patients are affected before the age of 40.
3. Psoriasis varies from person to person in severity, in clinical presentation and how it responds to treatments.
4. The scalp and limbs are the most common places where psoriasis appears, but it can occur anywhere on the body, especially the knees, elbows and trunk.

Symptoms
Symptoms of psoriasis vary from person to person and may include one or more of the following features:
1. Thick, red patches of skin (plaques) variable in size covered with silvery scales
2. Itching
3. Lesions on the body
4. Nail psoriasis and arthritis may be present

Disease severity
The severity of psoriasis can range from a few spots of scaling in only certain parts of the body to major eruptions that cover large areas and are difficult to treat. Mild cases may be a nuisance, but more severe cases can be painful, disfiguring and disabling. Roughly 20% of psoriasis case are moderate to severe.

Diagnosis
No special blood tests or diagnostic tools exist to diagnose psoriasis. A dermatologist or other health care provider diagnoses psoriasis from the signs and symptoms by examining the entire skin surface. Sometimes a skin biopsy is taken and examined under the microscope to help differentiate between psoriasis and other disorders.

Causes
The causes of psoriasis are not fully understood today. The current consensus is that the immune system, genetics and the environment (e.g. stress, cold weather, etc.) all play major roles in the development of psoriasis. As a result there is skin inflammation accompanied by overproduction of skin cells.
Cells in the upper skin layer normally mature and are shed from the skin’s surface every 28 to 30 days. With psoriasis, the cells can mature in 3 to 6 days then move to the skin surface and pile up.
Researchers think that both genetic and environmental factors play a role in causing T cells to malfunction.
a. Scientists believe that at least 10% of the general population inherits one or more of the genes that create a predisposition to psoriasis
b. However, only 2 to 3% of the population develops the disease
Researchers believe that for a person to develop psoriasis, the individual must have a combination of the genes that cause psoriasis and be exposed to specific external factors known as “triggers.”

Psoriasis Triggers
Like many other skin conditions, scalp psoriasis symptoms may come and go in cycles. Some people may not have symptoms for weeks, even months. You may notice that certain factors in your daily life may worsen (“trigger”) your scalp psoriasis symptoms to flare-up. Trigger factors can be different from one person to another. It is important to be aware of the factors and avoid them.

Factors that may trigger psoriasis include:
Infection • Bacterial throat infection
Stress • Relaxation and stress reduction may help prevent stress from impacting psoriasis
Injury to skin • Cut or scraped skin, severe sunburn
Other suspected factors • Smoking
• Heavy alcohol consumption

Risk Factors
Anyone can develop psoriasis, but these factors can increase your risk of developing the disease:
Family history The most significant risk factor for psoriasis is having a family history of the disease. 1 out of 3 psoriatic patients has a close relative who also suffers from the disease.
Other medical conditions People with HIV are more likely to develop psoriasis than people with healthy immune systems.
Children and young adults with recurring infections – particularly streptococcal throat infection – may also be at increased risk.
Stress Stress can impact your immune system and may increase your risk of developing or worsening your psoriasis.
Obesity Excess weight increases your risk of psoriasis. In addition, plaques associated with all types of psoriasis often develop in skin creases and folds.
Smoking and alcohol Smoking tobacco and alcohol consumption increase your risk of developing or worsening psoriasis.

Treatments
There are many treatment options which can help control psoriasis and offer significant relief of its symptoms.
Psoriasis treatments aim to:
a. Interrupt the cycle that causes an increased production of skin cells. This reduces inflammation and plaque formation
b. Remove scales and smooth the skin
Your physician will help you to decide which treatment is best for you. In addition, you may want to consider the following factors when selecting a treatment that is agreeable to you:
a. First, the treatment should never be worse than the psoriasis itself!
b. When choosing the treatment your lifestyle, available time and your budget has to be taken into account to help decide among the options
c. The treatment has to be used until the condition is under control or as directed by your doctor. BUT! Remember that some products should only be used for a limited period of time because of risks of side effects, so speak to your physician about how long you can use the product safely.
d. Keep in mind: treatment compliance strongly influences treatment effectiveness (If you don’t use it, it won’t work! )

Types of Treatment
Treatments for scalp psoriasis can be divided into 3 main types:
a. Topical treatments (creams, foams, lotions or ointments applied to the skin)
b. Light (photo) therapy
c. Systemic therapies (taken by pill or injection)
For mild to moderate psoriasis, topical treatments can in many cases be used effectively on their own. But when the disease is more severe, your doctor may prescribe a regimen of different therapies to manage symptoms over time.
Attention!
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a pharmacist or physician before taking any medication, in order to avoid doing harm to themselves or their babies. Make certain that you read the specific safety information about the therapy(s) prescribed for you, and speak to your physician about safety issues or concerns.

Light (photo) therapies
These treatments use artificial ultraviolet (UV) light to treat psoriasis.

Main systemic Medications
The oral medications and biologics may help to clear psoriasis, but are only appropriate for moderate to severe cases. These drugs are potent and can have side effects that must be considered before taking.
Practical Treatment Tips
Preparing the Skin for Topical Therapy
In some areas of the world, it is recommended that the surface of a psoriasis plaque be “smoothed” to allow better penetration of the topical medication. Your doctor my suggest that you use a preparation containing salicylic acid or lactic acid before you apply other topical treatments. Make certain that you understand your doctor’s instructions before using this type of regimen, as it may result in additional irritation. Note that even if you do not you a pre-treatment preparation, the skin and plaques should be kept clean using a gentle cleanser to remove dirt and debris from the area.
It is important to always use topical medications as prescribed by your doctor. The following tips may help you in applying topical medications to help treat your psoriasis.

Effective application of topical medications
1. Apply topical treatments only to psoriasis lesions if possible. This will help to avoid irritating unaffected skin.
2. A thin layer of medication is generally sufficient.
3. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying topical treatments, unless treating the hands.
4. Do not apply topical treatments in areas of the skin not discussed with your doctor, especially near the eyes, genitals or other sensitive areas.
5. When prescribed a regimen of topical treatments, apply them exactly as your physician instructed.
6. Cleanse or prepare the lesions for treatment as directed by your doctor. Do not cover or ‘occlude’ your topical medication with other products like moisturizers or other medications unless specifically directed to do so by your doctor.

HELPFUL HINT
Protect healthy skin with a thin layer of petroleum jelly before applying medications to the psoriatic lesions.

CAUTION:
Never cover or ‘occlude’ the treated skin, unless specifically directed by your doctor.

Stain protection
Here is a list of some easy and accessible household items you can use to protect from staining while treatments are active:
a. Towels
b. Plastic wrap
c. Plastic produce bags
d. Cotton socks
Do not occlude treated lesions and skin unless specifically directed by your doctor.
Keeping a Psoriasis Diary

KEY MESSAGES:
The goal of keeping a psoriasis diary is to help you and your doctor better manage your psoriasis symptoms and therapies.
A psoriasis diary can be useful for identifying triggers and determining the treatments that work well for you in relieving your psoriasis symptoms. The example diary here can help you to follow improvements in a psoriasis flare-up. Noting the factors that play a role in your psoriasis flare-ups is a small task, but it may go a long way in deciding on an effective treatment plan that works for you!
It is a good idea to take your psoriasis diary with you to your doctor’s visits. Make sure it is clear and legible. If you arrive prepared, many of the questions your doctor will ask can be answered quickly and more thoroughly.

Factors to Include in Your Psoriasis Diary:
1. When does your psoriasis seem to worsen?
a. This will help you to identify what factors trigger your psoriasis flare ups
b. When looking back at your diary, you may see that your psoriasis often occurs after certain types of events (e.g. environmental factors, emotional stress, with certain medications, after drinking alcohol, etc)
2. On a calendar, keep track of any treatments used for your psoriasis and the effect it had on your lesions
a. Make sure to record which symptoms, if any, improved after each treatment (e.g. itchiness, redness, scaling, etc)
b. Record changes in symptoms on a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is the worse and 1 is better
Before beginning treatment for a flare-up, select and record your most distressing psoriasis symptom and note its severity
Use the table to record the psoriasis medications you are using, and how this symptom improves or worsens with each application of your psoriasis therapy. This will help you to follow the effectiveness of your psoriasis therapy.

See You Tomorrow

Until then, take care. Bye.

Be A Loser

Today in my family we had a very small fight, which could have aggravated, if I hadn't got the insight into the cause of it. It was so trivial a cause, that I felt, it should have been overlooked. But you know, we people are so strung with a joint family tagging around, that we make all sorts of mistakes just at every juncture of our life.

Now, while this juggling of words were taking place, I was a silent spectator because I didn't want to add oil into the already raging fire with my words. I saw the faces, the expressions of all around. It was not good. So this made me think, we are all here to be happy and not to be sad, then why is it that we are always sad, with our own people more than outsiders?

It was then, it came to me like a splash of cold water on my face, that if this is the case with us, then we are the reason for its origin.

I know its very difficult to believe it. But its true.

We all hear one jargon of Darwin in all aspects of life, whether its professional or family or friendship or whatever. Survival of the fittest. Which means, that we are here to survive and win and for that, no matter what, we use all means straight or crooked to get to our goal. Believe me, when I used to teach my students, I used to ask them to set a goal too and try to work hard to reach that. But there is one thing which we tend to overlook in life, we forget that the people around us too are here to survive and not to lose and as a parent and teacher, I have made a grave mistake in not pointing it out and inculcating a sense of belongingness with the rest of the world. But life experiences do teach us that what we give in books are so superficial, that it never help our future generation to find what they have come here for - eternal happiness. And for that, we will have to lose. I know, you might be thinking I am crazy.

No. Its a fact. We all have a role to play in our lives. That is for sure. But you do not know what. But still you live and plan and decide according to the life experience and all that and still it goes flop. So what does that mean, whether we have a goal or work hard for it, there is no guarantee we would be able to reach it. Even if we have reached it, we would at some point of time get deviated to fulfill our real role of our lives, which would naturally take us through many a situations to bring us to the right track. Its like we are swimming against the river to reach our goal and in the end we would be haggard, tired, lost and unhappy. So why waste time setting goals, when our destiny has already decided, what we have to do and all the people set for helping us reach the goal, like our parents, grandparents, uncles, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, friends, enemies, teachers, neighbours, etc. Then why fight for all trivial and big reason, just let us lose ourself in the maze of people and circumstances and goals and words and behaviours, then we do not need any words to juggle our life.

So decide whether you want to lose or to win.

See you tomorrow.

Until then, take care. Bye.

Alzheimer's Disease

Today, I met a daily wager, who had worked for our family for many years. I smiled at him and asked, "How are you Rajan? Did you buy fish?(As he was coming from the market).
But he didn't reply or smile. He was looking at me, as if I had grown two horns on my head. I was surprised because before he used to joke with me and talk so much, that I used to go another way, to avoid him. So this way of behaviour was really weird. when I asked my friend, I came to know, he had forgotten everything even people. I felt sad. So I thought, its time to learn what causes this forgetfullness.

What is Alzheimer's disease?
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive disease in which healthy brain tissue degenerates, resulting in problems with memory, behavior, and other mental abilities. It is the most common cause of dementia (the loss of memory and other intellectual abilities serious enough to interfere with daily life) and the seventh-leading cause of death in the United States. Alzheimer's disease currently affects an estimated four million older Americans, a number that is expected to triple by the year 2050.

What are the symptoms?
The symptoms of Alzheimer's disease are more serious than the mild memory changes that typically accompany aging. Symptoms may start gradually but eventually become severe enough to interfere with activities of daily living. They include:

Increasingly worse memory loss, especially forgetting recently learned information
Difficulty performing familiar tasks, such as cooking or making a phone call
Difficulty finding the right words
Problems with abstract thinking, such as trouble balancing a checkbook
Poor judgment, such as dressing inappropriately for the weather or overspending money
Misplacing things or putting them in unusual places, like putting car keys in the freezer
Disorientation, such as getting lost in familiar surroundings
Loss of initiative
Changes in mood, behavior, and personality.
Although the course of Alzheimer's disease is individual and highly variable, most people with the condition will survive about eight to ten years after being diagnosed.

What are the causes?
The exact cause of Alzheimer's disease isn't yet clear. However, scientists know that the brains of people with the condition contain abnormal clumps and knots of brain cells, called plaques and tangles. These plaques and tangles are made up of proteins that may be involved in the neuron (nerve cell) death that occurs in Alzheimer's disease. Researchers also believe that the inflammation observed in the brains of some people with the disease may play a central role.

Who is likely to develop Alzheimer's disease?
Alzheimer's appears be influenced by a combination of genetic, environmental, and other factors. Some major factors that appear to increase the risk of Alzheimer's disease include:

Age. Alzheimer's disease is most common in people older than age 65.
Family history. Having a parent or sibling with the disease slightly increases risk.
Genetic mutations. Three genetic mutations are known to cause early-onset Alzheimer's, while a form of the APOE gene increases risk of late-onset disease.
Gender. Women are more likely than men to develop Alzheimer's disease.
Other conditions. The same factors that raise the risk of heart disease, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes, also increase Alzheimer's risk.
Education. Research shows a link between lower education levels and higher risk of Alzheimer's disease.
Head injury. Some studies show a link between traumatic head injuries and Alzheimer's risk.
How is Alzheimer's disease diagnosed?
Alzheimer's disease is typically diagnosed after doctors rule out other conditions. There is no specific test used to diagnose or confirm the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. General tests that can help doctors determine whether a patient has Alzheimer's disease include:

Physical exam
Blood tests
Mental and memory tests
Brain scans
What is the conventional treatment?
Although there is no cure for Alzheimer's disease at this time, medications can help treat symptoms of the condition. Conventional doctors may recommend one of five prescription drugs currently approved to treat Alzheimer's, depending on the severity of the illness.
These drugs affect brain chemicals and may help improve symptoms of Alzheimer's and allow patients to perform daily activities longer than they otherwise would be able to.

Therapies for preventing and slowing the progression of Alzheimer's disease?

Dietary changes: A 2002 study published in the New England Journal of Medicine indicated that people who have high blood levels of a toxic amino acid known as homocysteine have twice the usual risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. Homocysteine levels tend to be higher in people whose diets are high in animal protein; conversely, fruits and leafy green vegetables provide folic acid and other B vitamins to help the body reduce homocysteine levels. It's difficult to establish cause and effect, but reducing animal protein and eating more plant foods is a good idea for general health, and may help to prevent or alleviate symptoms of Alzheimer's.
An anti-inflammatory diet is generally protective against a wide range of diseases, and Alzheimer's disease is believed to have an inflammatory component.

One particularly promising spice is turmeric; one of its components, curcumin is strongly anti-inflammatory. Elderly villagers in India have one of the world's lowest rates of Alzheimer's; the reason may be the turmeric that they consume in their daily curries.

Exercise: Research indicates that regular physical exercise can lower the risk of developing Alzheimer's by up to 50 percent. A Japanese study found that among 265 people with both normal mental function and mild cognitive impairment due to Alzheimer's, after one year of moderate exercise intervention, 70 percent of participants showed significant improvement in memory function. And the more the participants exercised, the greater the improvement. Aim for at least 30 minutes of aerobic activity such as walking, cycling or swimming on most days of the week.

Mind/Body: People who participate in mentally stimulating activities such as reading and playing cards are at lower risk for developing Alzheimer's disease. Other research shows that the more years of formal education you have, the less likely you are to develop the condition. The theory is that challenging intellectual activity builds up rich neural connections that function as insurance against later brain-tissue losses, just as well-developed muscles maintain their integrity longer during periods of inactivity than atrophied muscles.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): In Chinese medicine, Alzheimer's disease is not yet recognized as a separate disease entity. Instead, it falls under the broader category of senile dementia. Practitioners of TCM often recommend herbal preparations for senile dementia, more research is needed to determine effectiveness.

Supplements: Some studies suggest that vitamins C and E, either in foods or supplements, are protective against Alzheimer's. In a January, 2004 study published in the Archives of Neurology, researchers reported that older people who took daily supplements containing at least 400 IU of vitamin E and 500 mg of vitamin C were 64 percent less likely to develop the condition.

In May of 2008, the journal Neurology published a study from Boston University School of Medicine showing that people who took ibuprofen for more than five years had a 44 percent lower than normal risk of developing Alzheimer's and that other NSAIDs reduced the risk by 25 percent. This study included more than 49,000 U.S. veterans aged 55 and older who developed Alzheimer's and nearly 200,000 who didn't. Ibuprofen is the active ingredient in Advil, Motrin and other pain medications. While this suggests that NSAIDs have a protective effect, it is not clear which ones work best or that people should start taking any of them to ward of Alzheimer's. First of all, taking NSAIDs long-term isn't risk-free. These drugs can cause serious gastrointestinal problems including stomach ulcers and bleeding, and even fatal GI bleeds, and it is not known yet know if the benefits outweigh these risks. More research is needed to look at that and to determine which NSAIDs are most effective. If one (or all) of the drugs prove to work as well as studies so far indicate, the next step will be to determine when to take them - and for how long - for maximum protection.

Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba),a traditional herbal preparation made from the leaves of the ginkgo tree can increase blood flow to the brain. Some clinical evidence suggests that ginkgo can be useful in slowing the progression of early Alzheimer's disease and age-related dementia. If you want to try ginkgo for memory enhancement, take 40 mg of a standardized extract with a ratio of 24% ginkgo flavone glycosides and 6% terpene lactones three times a day with meals. Give it a two-month trial.

Also: Avoid smoking; smokers have twice the risk of developing Alzheimer's as nonsmokers.

Protect yourself from head trauma, which has also been linked to increased Alzheimer's risk, perhaps due to low-grade inflammation as the brain attempts to heal itself. Wear a helmet when on a motorcycle, bicycle, skates or skis, and high-traction footwear when surfaces are icy.

Maintain a normal weight; a study in Neurology online in March, 2008, revealed a potential link between excessive belly fat among people in their 40s and the onset of Alzheimer's about 35 years later. Of the 6,583 people studied, those in the highest 20 percent in terms of belly size were three times more likely to develop dementia than were those in the lowest 20 percent.

I am no genius in anything. But I too am in the same boat as you. We live where we can share what we know. So I hope you got what you were searching.

See you tomorrow.

Until then, take care. Bye.

The Power of Priesthood

Last day there was a public voicing of the credibility of priests and their works by a man to an old lady, in a queue in the LIC office. Since it was a queue, nobody had any business other than hear this juicy topic. But to the horror for the man and the spectators, the old lady declined herself to be dragged into the malice. She said sternly, “Look, I do not like to criticise any priests or for that matter anybody. And you’re a man, it won’t suit you to talk in such a manner, as a woman. Please let me be as I am. The man felt ashamed because he was publicly humiliated. Here the generation gap which focuses the lifestyles of two cultures and characters were reflected. But it was a thought for me as a lay person.

We are living in an age where priests and sisters are valued less. An age where there are hordes of opportunities to corrupt mankind. In the process the God’s selected few too get corrupted, unwittingly. But the humiliation others take is heart rending. It is indeed a sad spectacle to watch the Holy See ask pardon in each and every country. It really made me think. Why is it happening? What can we do to stop these?

I think we have really thrown out the respect for the God’s chosen people from our system, which our parents and grandparents had instilled in us. I remember when we were small, how respectfully they spoke to the priests and nuns. They used words to the minimum and answer to the question without any additives. We too stood there awed by the spiritual people.

But now, its changed, the time has changed, the spiritual community wanted to bring us lay people too into the special category fold in the eyes of God. Thus taking out the barrier that divided the priests with the lay people, making the lay man feel that God is not just for the selected few but to all of humanity. Well, that was a good sign but unfortunately the line that differentiated the priest and the lay merged in the hearts of the lay people which brought along with it back slapping, knee jerking activities from the part of the lay people towards the priests resulting in forgetting the basic protocol which should be followed by us to the selected few. The priest might give the freedom to be equal to him. But his very existence is very special in the eyes of God. We could never equal a priest no matter whatever good we do. I am not joking. Its a fact. Because he decided to say "Yes God, I follow you. I leave my everything for you." Did we say that at any time of our life? I don't think so or else, we would have been priests. So never try to equal with a priest, its a waste of time from our part and I for one would surely would have refuted all these things, if I had been born recently. But my experiences are so many, that I would like to pass it on to you before you make a grave mistake of thinking that priests are normal like us or human beings. They surely are normal and human. But they have been bestowed by special powers which has been promised by God Himself because they said Yes. So I will write of some of the experiences I have had, which really made me say "WoW!!!!

It was the time, when Pope John Paul II visited India in the year 1986. He visited the Cathedral of the Latin Catholic Archdiocese of Verapoly on February 7. On that day, one of my friends, who were also very close to the church, was the main person to decorate, the church and the room, as part of the Pope’s visit. So as a token of thanks, to all the people, who helped for the success of the programme, the Archbishop gave an opportunity to the selected few to be blessed by the pope. In that selected few, my friend was included. She was really happy. She stood there waiting in line for her turn to be blessed. When the pope touched her forehead, she didn’t expect the impact she would have at that moment. The pope touched and a lightning coursed through her. A vibration was activated in her whole body. She didn’t know how to define it. But she said, it was a power, which made her feel happy, which made her feel free. She was full of love. She felt like she was floating in the air. It was the power of the Holy Spirit.

We all know, he had a tight schedule during those visits, blessing all the people on the way, touching and waving. So when he touched my friend, he might have just given it like giving a smile, but we came to know the power when we received it. This reminded me about the miracle of Jesus, In Matthew 9:20-22, “Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment. The spiritual power that God had bestowed upon Jesus was not centralised only in body parts alone, but in every atom of his being and to the paraphernalias that touched His Being. Don’t think this power is bestowed only for the pope because he is the successor of St. Peter.

I had another experience, this time it was for my uncle. He was a wander lust by nature. And his travel usually focused to be a participant for the rites of Priest or Bishop ordination and their first Thanksgiving Mass. So one day, he went to attend the Holy order of a Bishop. Seeing his grey hair and his stature, he was allowed to sit in the front row of the gathering. He didn’t decline. He went and participated in the function and then the following High mass. After the mass, he went to the new bishop to kiss his ring and when my uncle reached him, he requested, will you please bless me. The new bishop gave his blessing willingly by touching him on the forehead and lo behold! A power passed through my uncle’s body. He felt happy and he went, and on the way, he felt, there was some change in him. He was cured of back pain and head ache. It had been with him from very young.

"And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease." Matthew 10:1

He was so amazed, that he told the whole world about it, which included me too. I was happy and I too passed this good news to all.

But then you would think, that since, the bishop has been newly ordained and he is fresh from being bestowed the Holy Spirit by other bishops, he would be powerful. But I have another experience, which is simply mind boggling.

It happened in a remote village in Kerala, years back, may be more than 60 years back. During those times the hilly terrains of the Western Ghats, were only fit for forests and animals. No man ever dared to tread there, but people did tread in search of land and dreams to make money and life. Some, were rich and some poor. The people who were capable to cut the forest area and irrigate land, without the forester’s knowledge were considered smart. They built huts within a day. There were Christian community too in the group along with other religions. So the bishop of the mainland considered his duty to provide Christian services for the Christian people in the forest. Thus a priest was also sent. He too with others worked hard to get some land for the church and made a home to settle and with the help of the local people irrigated the land. And Sundays he offered mass because, no people would dare to walk alone the forest path as there were lots of wild animals. During those times, there were no buses to that area and they had to go on foot for 2 days, in order to get to the bus stand. If somebody fell sick, usually, he would be a dead man before he reaches the hospital. Then slowly, slowly, this parish priest looked for willing people from the main land who could treat the sick and to give education to the children. He brought the nurses, the teachers under his wings, thus creating a community, which solely relied on each other for help and they became a close knit and well bonded community. So this story happened during this time. The parish priest brought a female nurse, to this remote community and she was given the church property, with a lady assistant not far from the church, down the hill. First the patients came in trickle, then it started flowing, then it became a large scale clinic, though they didn’t have that much rooms to accommodate they didn’t refuse anybody, they treated all who arrived, accommodating in the nearby church and all. In the mean time, the nurse got married and she had many children and they were living there in a connecting building to the clinic and money was flowing for them. They bought lands in most of the places, near to the clinic and wherever they could get hold of. They were respected by all.

Years passed and the father received a transfer and it was time to give back all the keys and property papers to the new vicar. He had everything ready, except for this building. He had not asked any rent or any surety for the building. So he called the nurse and asked her, “I’ve been transferred and before I go, I’d like you to vacate the clinic, so that I could give the keys of the building to the new vicar. Its the rule of the church. Its actually not a building fit for a clinic. Since you have lots of land, you can build a new one. Until then you can be here. But you will have to vacate it because its a church property. The nurse, looked at the priest and smiled, and spoke,

“Fr. I can pay for the land and the building. Give it to me.”

The priest replied, “When I worked on this land, I didn’t toil for my need or for my luxury, it was on behalf of the church I worked. So I cannot decide on my own to sell just like that. I’m really sorry, I cannot sell any property of the church. You have the land adjoining this building. You can build a bigger hospital there.” But the nurse was adamant. She didn’t budge an iota to return the building. Then after some thought, the priest looked directly and said,

“Since you’re adamant in your decision, keep it with you.” The nurse was happy. She left to her clinic and the priest left for America. From that day started her downward journey - Her eldest son was the smartest in school. He was the best student in school for seven years consecutively. One day he fell unconscious in class. He was treated and treated and he is now just a living moron, another son was afflicted by polio. He was also treated, he started walking but lost his education, then two sons and two daughters were educated properly. But when they married two were barren and one left home, who was to look the parents and above all nobody bore a son to continue their family name. In short if we get into their house, its like a ghost house. "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Matthew 16:19

If just a word of a priest can create such havoc. So beware. The power is there from the lower strata to the upper echelons of priesthood. Don’t consider them as simply human.

God has stated plainly, how we should behave to His chosen people. “Fear the Lord with all your heart, and have respect for his priests. Love your Creator with all your strength, and give his ministers your support. Honour the Lord and respect the priests. Supply them with what you have been commanded to give: the first produce, the offering for sin, the shoulder of the sacrificial animal—all the required sacrifices and offerings.” Sirach 7:29-31

What will be the reward for those who follow the above rule? “Suppose someone welcomes a prophet as a prophet. That one will receive a prophet's reward. And suppose someone welcomes a godly person as a godly person. That one will receive a godly person's reward.” Mathew 10:41,

Jesus has said about their limitations through John 13:18, “I know those I have chosen.” So we have no right to judge the priests. We can extend our help through our prayers and not publicly humiliate them.

God would give His chosen people, their due according to the deeds, but when He does punish them, He would include us too in His wrath because we had judged them, humiliated them. So beware when you open your mouth against God’s chosen ones. "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men." Romans 1:18

Before concluding I’d like to quote St. Francis of Assisi (later quoted by St. John Vianney): "If I saw an Angel and a priest, I would bend my knee first to the priest and then to the Angel." Do you know why? Because they hold the body and blood of Christ everyday. So better know their power and their worth and behave.

See you tomorrow.

Until then, bye take care.

Ouch Acidity

Not a lot of people are aware that it is important to maintain the acid-alkaline balance because it hugely affects the overall health. However, not everybody knows what the proper pH level balance should be. pH is actually a measure of acidity of the body fluid depending on the amounts of positively charged or acid forming ions and negative charged or alkaline forming ions present in the fluid. A normal pH ranges from 0 to 14 and 7.0 is considered to be neutral.
Experts say that a healthy person should have a pH of 7.35 or 7.45. Even though this is just a little bit leaning toward the acidic side a person whose pH value is either higher or lower than this one is considered to be quite vulnerable to various ailments and diseases. This is the reason why a lot of people wonder what to do when their pH level is a little below the normal pH value.
Acidity in human body

A person's body is considered to be acidic if his or her pH value is just a little bit lower than the normal pH value. A person's pH level will rise or fall because of various reasons like stress or the foods a person consumes. Not a lot of people know that the blood and other digestive juices in the body are acidic but all the other internal fluids should be neutral. However, when these fluids become acidic they can affect the proper functioning of certain body parts. In cases when these fluids become acidic the immune system will become weaker.

Acidity in human body: symptoms

Too much acid in the body allows various bacteria and viruses to thrive and then they will cause certain acidity symptoms like weakness, heartburn, illness, chest pain and even inflammation and pain in certain organs. When there is too much acid the body will not normally absorb the nutrients and then the cells will not have enough energy for production and repairs. That is why a person will become more prone to various diseases and disorders like digestive disorders, common cold, obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer, kidney and bladder infections and immune deficiency.
Acidity in human body: preventive measures
Diet is one of the main reasons for too much acid in the body and the best way to prevent that from happening is to limit the intake of acid rich foods. A person should get to know which foods are acidic in order to avoid eating them. A person who suffers from acidity should consume 60% of alkaline foods and 40% of foods acidic in nature.

Causes Of Acidity

• Excessive smoking
• Drinking too much alcohol
• Gastro duodenal (peptic) ulcer
• Hyper secretion of hydrochloric acid
• Reflux of gastric acid
• Not having meals on time
• Eating fried and spicy food on a regular basis
• Problems in the functioning of digestive system
• Being on an empty stomach for a long time or skipping breakfast
• Eating foods rich in fats, like chocolates
• Pregnancy
• Aging
• Obesity
• Excessive exposure to sun and heat
• Inappropriate food habits
• Negative emotions
• Weakness of the valves
Symptoms Of Acidity

• Burning sensation or pain in the stomach, 1-4 hours after a meal
• Chest pain
• Prolonged heartburn
• Inflammation in chest
• Feeling hungry frequently
• Constant pain in the upper abdomen
• Belching
• Nausea
• Bitter taste in mouth
• Loss of appetite
• Respiratory problems
• Vomiting
• Coughing
• Gastro-esophageal reflux
• Voice change and formation of ulcer in esophagus (tube connecting mouth and stomach)
• Pain during muscular contractions
• Pain in ears
5 best foods for acidity

Apples and bananas
Amongst fruits, apples and bananas are safe to be consumed and generally do not cause acidity. If you’re in the mood for juice, apple juice is a good option.
Vegetables like cabbage, beans and peas
These vegetables are healthy and do not cause acidity. If you enjoy potato, try baked potato and avoid deep-fried preparations.
Egg white, chicken and fish
Lean white meats and egg white are perfect for acidity-prone individuals.
Low fat cheese
Heavy foods are a no-no for those prone to acidity. So try and go for low-fat dairy items like low-fat cheese or milk.
Whole grains
Avoid refined carbs like white rice and maida and instead opt for whole grains like wheat and brown rice to ward off acidity.

5 worst foods for acidity

Spicy food
This is a no-brainer. Anyone prone to acidity knows what a spicy sabzi or a stray chilli can do to you. In general, it’s best to avoid overly spicy food and go in for something a little milder.
Citrus foods
Bad news for orange lovers! Citrus foods are one of the worst triggers of acidity and if you think you might be prone to it, stay away from citrus fruits, as well as juices.
Coffee
For those with a chronic acidity problem, it’s best to cut out coffee from your diet. Instead try green tea
Fried foods and fatty foods
Biscuits high in fat, or fried snacks have to be banished from the diets of all those prone to acidity. These are instant triggers and can cause days of discomfort.
Alcohol, especially wine
Although wine recommended as one of the healthier alcohols, it’s a no-no for the acidity prone. The tannins in the wine can cause acidity and is best avoided.

So decide what you should eat and enjoy life. Be cool.

See you tomorrow. Until then, take care. Bye
